TIPS & REMINDERS

🔺Best month to visit Bali?
July to August – Peak Season
May to June – A good month for visiting, the annual rains have stopped
April – Dry Season
November to March – Rainy Season
🔺Booked our flight via Airsia for Php7300 RT
🔺As much as possible, book your trips and hotel ahead of time while you’re in the Philippines to save money.
🔺As of March 2019; 1 IDR = 0.0047PHP
🔺Have your peso changed to USD then to IDR. Never exchange your money at the airport! Just ask your driver to drop you off at any money changers in major places where rates are good. Don’t forget to bring extra cash, Bali is really cheap with so many great finds! They also have banks if you need to withdraw some cash.
🔺We stayed at Ozz Hotel in Kuta Bali — walking distance to Kuta Art Market where you can find cheaper souvenir shops, handicrafts and restaurants.
🔺Include The Edge to your itinerary, really worth it. Make sure to have a reservation, they do not accept walk ins https://www.oneeightybali.com/.
🔺 Do not forget to rent a pocket wifi/sim to stay connected. We booked our 4G Sim card via Klook for Php371 with 6GB Data.
🔺Bring universal adaptor as most of their hotels have round hole sockets 🔌
🔺Food in Bali? So good yet so cheap. Eat at their local restaurants for very affordable price.
🔺Always bring water, most of the restaurants and fast food chains in Bali do not provide service water. Their tap water is non-drinkable.
🔺For souvenirs like Rattan Bags, it’s cheaper in Kuta Art Market, always ask for discounts and bargain 5x. We got big Rattan Bags for like 350-500 pesos.
🔺Always bring umbrella/hat, sunblock and insect repellent.
🔺Don’t be shy to make several poses for your photos. Everyone does it.
🔺Be a responsible traveller. Respect and appreciate their culture.
🔺And lastly, whether you are travelling alone or with friends, I highly recommend to hire a private car with driver. You can follow their itinerary or create your own.

Overall, I spent more or less Php 25,000 for the whole trip (inclusive of airfare, hotels, tours and food). It would’ve been lesser if you are in a larger group.

Bali, Indonesia is so magical. A perfect paradise ideal for everyone. The sights you will witness, the memories you will earn, the photos you will save, the people you will meet and everything about this island are without a doubt priceless experiences that money can’t really buy. I will definitely go back and bring my loved ones.
